Philippe Befferal, BA, General Manager
Mr. Befferal joined Angelini US as CFO in 2011 for the launch of OleptroTM in the US market, he was promoted General Manager of the US operations on January 1st, 2018. Mr. Befferal brings over 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry both at the Corporate and Subsidiary level in international environments. Prior to joining Angelini Mr. Befferal was employed by Patheon (a leading provider of contract drug development and manufacturing services) at their European headquarters in Switzerland as Director of Quotations and Reporting Europe. From 1995 to 2005 Mr. Befferal held several positions at Lundbeck (a leading company in the CNS Market) including Finance Director of the French subsidiary in Paris, Business Support Manager Europe at the headquarters in Copenhagen, Finance Director South Europe in Rome and Senior Director US Admin Operations in New York. Mr. Befferal is a French citizen and speaks French, Italian and English and has extensive knowledge in global commercial operations projects such as customer relationship management implementation, Balanced Scorecard model roll-out, Sales Force expansion and business intelligence tools implementation.

Douglas C. Clark, BS, Director, Operations
In this role, Mr. Clark is responsible for special projects, Purchasing, Human Resources and IT.  Mr. Clark joined the Angelini team in 2015 after spending nearly 25 years with Verizon and predecessor companies where he held many leadership positions in Operations/Merger Integration, HR, and Finance.  Mr.Clark holds a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from the University of Connecticut and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Steven Adler, BS, Director, Sales and Marketing
Mr. Adler has accumulated more than 30 years of experience in marketing, sales and sales management. Mr. Adler joined Angelini Pharma Inc. in 2006, having previously worked for Nephros Inc. as the Director of Marketing with international responsibilities. In 2012 he was appointed manager/leader of the Device Division and the newly formed Wound Care Division. Mr. Adler has a BS in Biology from City College of New York.

Federica Protano, MBA, Marketing Manager
Ms. Protano joined Angelini in 2014 and has 7 years of Pharma Marketing experience. Prior to Angelini, she worked at Baxter as Marketing Specialist in Rome, Italy, with the Renal business team, and her previous role was working with Johnson & Johnson Medical. Ms. Protano graduated from LUISS University of Rome with a Master’s degree in Economics and Marketing.

Richard Moncure, BS,  Sales Manager, Infection Control Products
Mr. Moncure has over 30 years of medical sales experience and has worked in the dialysis industry for 25 of these years. Mr. Moncure strives to be an exceptional partner to his customers, providing industry expertise and clinical support. His professional goal is to listen to our customers’ and work collaboratively to solve their infection control needs in the most concise way possible. He received a BS in Communications, with a minor in Business Administration from Western Carolina University.

Mary Camus, BA, Strategic Account Manager
Ms. Camus joined Angelini in 2017 and has over 25 years Medical Device Sales and marketing experience.  Most recently, Ms. Camus was a Surgical Consultant in Plastic and Orthopedic Surgery for MTF Biologics.  Prior to MTF, Mary worked at Osteotech as a Senior Sales Representative in the US and as a Strategic Planning Manager in Europe. Previous roles include Senior Sales Representative (Zimmer Dental and Zimmer Orthopedics), Professional Development Manager (MTF) and Product Manager (Kirschner Medical). Ms. Camus graduated from the University of Iowa, Bachelor General Studies, Business and Mass Communications.

Valeria Sena-Weltin, MS, RAC, Manager, Quality Assurance (QA) and Regulatory Affairs (RA)
Mrs. Sena-Weltin brings over 12 years of experience in the regulatory field from various backgrounds, including the medical device and pharmaceutical industry, consulting, with experience from product conceptualization, non-clinical testing, GLP/GCP/GMP ad GDP compliance, product registration in the US, Asia, Latin America, and ROW, to setting up a manufacturing facility for a Class 3 device. Mrs. Sena-Weltin joined Angelini in 2015 as a Regulatory Affairs Specialist and was promoted to lead the Quality and the Regulatory team as Manager of QA and RA. She has earned an BS in Biology, MS in Bioscience, a certificate in Biotech-Enterprise from the Johns Hopkins University.

Giuseppe Santo, MSc, Director, Medical and Scientific Affairs
Mr. Santo has obtained an MSc in Preclinical and Clinical Drug Development in 2009 and an MSc in Chemistry and Pharmaceutical Technology in 2007. He has been working in the pharmaceutical industry for 10 years. From 2008 to 2016 Mr. Santo held several positions at the “Angelini Research Center” in Rome, Italy. He was involved in the development and launch of innovative healthcare products in the European market. From June 2017, he has been working as Director of Medical and Scientific Affairs for the US subsidiary of Angelini. In this role, Mr. Santo is responsible for the development and execution of scientific and medical affairs activities.
